Put simply: I'm over paying $3 for a gallon of gas. Crazy. We Americans refuse to find an alternative source of energy to power our transportation to work and run errands. I ride to use the only free energy I know of and commend anyone who takes this initiatve. It's not often the fastest way to work, or the most comfortable but dammit if I don't feel better about myself as I roll in to a nearly full parking lot.
On a similar note, there's a hot debate on stlbiking message board on whether or not bike commuting with children is ethical. It's a heavily debated issue. Feel free to weigh in there (not here--off subject).
